sustainability

As a company in the construction industry we understand our responsibility to commit to a greener more sustainable future for the long term. This is why we are continually improving our 14,000m2 site in Llandow, with work on our three aircraft hangers being clad with insulated aluminium panels, eco-friendly green roof systems and solar panels. Products we are pushing heavily on all our bus shelters installed nationwide. In terms of transport, we have begun switching all staff vehicles to electric with charging points at our head office. Empowering change for a brighter future, we are certified by Planet Mark for our continuous improvement in carbon footprint.

Wherever possible we aim to use recycled materials, purchasing glazing profiles and glass from suppliers with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System. Aluminium products made of CIRCAL contain at least 75% recycled content from post-consumer scrap – a climate choice that contribute to the circular industry and helps reduce the amount of CO2 emissions released into the atmosphere. By using CIRCAL aluminium products we reduce the carbon footprint by a factor of 4 (compared with the European average of consumed primary aluminium). Aluminium is known as having a low environmental impact as it is fully recyclable. Even when recycled the metal retains all its original quality and strength. The CIRCAL process also requires just 5% of the energy needed to produce primary aluminium.
